Hearing Aid Evaluation and Selection
If you feel that you aren't hearing as well as you used to, come to the Hearing Beyond audiology clinic for a diagnostic hearing test with our licensed audiologist. Depending on your hearing test results, it might be time to take advantage of our excellent "Hearing Aid Test Drive" program!
Our audiologist will work with you to determine which hearing devices best fit your hearing loss and lifestyle. At Hearing Beyond, we believe you should feel absolutely, positively right about a hearing aid before you buy them. Our Hearing aid test drive program ensures that you test out hearing aids that are professionally programmed to your hearing loss. The final decisions on which hearing aid you get is your choice, and we are more than happy to have you test drive multiple different kinds of hearing aids. Since Hearing Beyond is locally owned, independent operated, and brand-neutral, we work equally with all the major hearing aid manufacturers. Because of this, our patients are provided a significantly greater selection in hearing devices, in comparison to other clinics. During your hearing aid evaluation, you will see the various styles of hearing aids. Some hearing aids have features that may fit your lifestyle, occupation, or listening needs better than others. Often, patients are entitled to financial coverage for hearing aids - Our audiologist will help you determine which financial assistance you qualify for. Once you decide on a hearing aid, your audiologist may need to make an impression of your ear, depending on the style. An ear impression is needed for custom hearing aids as well as hearing aids that require an ear mold.

Hearing Aid Dispensing and Fitting
At Hearing Beyond, we take pride in our high quality, thorough, and scientifically-backed hearing aid fitting procedures. Once you have decided on a hearing aid, our professionally trained and qualified audiologist will program your devices using a specialized fitting technique called real-ear verification. Real-ear verification ensures that your ear shape, ear size, and other ear canal characteristics are taken into account when your hearing devices are set-up. By regularly performing real-ear verification during our hearing aid fittings, we ensure that the sound our patients receive from their hearing devices is fine-tuned, appropriate, and personalized. Only around 20% of hearing aid clinics regularly perform real-ear verification. We understand that personalized and scientifically-proven fitting methods result in high patient satisfaction, which is why real-ear verification is a standard fitting procedure at Hearing Beyond. Our goal is to provide our patients with appropriate amplification and features, all while ensuring comfort and ease of use with their hearing devices.
A hearing aid fitting is a process, not a one-time event. Effective follow-up care is crucial to receive the maximum benefit from your hearing devices. At Hearing Beyond, our exceptional follow-up care provides our patients with effective hearing aid competency skills as well as high quality communication resources. Through our unique program Beyond the Hearing Aid, we counsel and instruct our patients on other effective hearing strategies to use in addition to their hearing devices. Beyond the Hearing Aid features personalized training and instruction on speech reading, effective listening, and other communication strategies in order to make our hearing aid fittings more successful and effective.
